OK... but the wire wont be lower as it is fixed now. The wire in the pics below is the wall facing each other. They were leveled on equal height but the beam on one wall makes it seem a little above. But i think you guys are absolutely right that up and down lights wont look good there. I think you are right about down lights lessismoore. Would it look good if i go with two different lights on opposite walls??? it would look odd right.

Ok there is a lot that you can do to decorate this place. You can put nice white/cream curtains along with white/cream curtains so that you can use net curtains one when you want more light. You can place a small decorative plant on that window. Another thing is that you can do is cover the wash-basin pipe. you can go for the light colours if you have well ventilation system ( kitchen chimney). or if you don't have, go for the dark shades , it will help to maintain easier, i will suggest you can go for the bi colored shades like gray , jet black or dark brown and chocolate , HOWEVER its your home and you are the boss. choose whatever you want, coz its LOVE which makes your house a HOME.
