Ok there is a lot that you can do to decorate this place. You can put nice white/cream curtains along with white/cream curtains so that you can use net curtains one when you want more light. You can place a small decorative plant on that window. Another thing is that you can do is cover the wash-basin pipe. You can also make this wall with a bid frame of Family friends collage pictures on a soft board and title it with letters like a 'Wall of Fame' . It would give a character to your room.
If you don't want to get rid of washbasin, replace it with a lovely looking washbasin and a storage unit extending to wall length. You nay want to put a wooden Jali to add a character too.
