HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)

Hello there, The slate claddings needs wall washer illumination. Please do that first. Place a wooden block above washing machine and cover it with wooden slats. This will double up as an iron board and a curio desk as well. Coming to the basin it is best to put a half pedestal over the niche and install a vanity mirror with storage for daily essentials. We are planning a U shaped kitchen with loft in a 13 ft 6" by 8 ft 10" sized space. Ceiling colour : classic white; Walls : morning glory (sort of white with a hue of very pale pink) in Berger and the floor is vitrified gloss finish sonic ivory tiles. I am looking at a single colour kitchen in pale yellow or light green or powder blue with black granite countertop. I don't want it to overwhelm and I also want the space to look spacious. The natural light is good in this space. Merino laminates I have considered are Jaisalmer and Gladiola. The greens in merino seem too dark The light green laminate is in Asiam brand. I agree with many others that it is hard to visualise a shade in a whole room from a 2 inch chip. Any feedback from completed projects or experience welcome. Please post completed yellow, green and blue kitchens in India, if possible. Thanks.
