Hi Shivani, Presuming you are fond of a very ethnic look, here are a few concepts that may help you. You seem to have a terrace like entrance to your drawing room. Liven it up with planters, sculptures etc. You may even shift the jug outside as a part of the landscape. Maybe couple it with a small water body and a few planters and Moroccan lanterns. Bright colours in the form of rugs, cushions and throws liven up a room. You can also play with the colours of the wall. The idea is to keep it clean and simple but fresh. Opting for pastel colours like teal, cream, jade etc. helps. Offset this with bright paintings and artwork. You could design the place in such a way that both the frontyard and the courtyard would be accesible/vislble from every room. For privacy, wood/metal jaalis would suffice. You could also place a waterbody in proximity to formal and informal living areas so that an outdoor deck doubles up when large volumes of guests need to be entertained. You could also incorporate an outdoor seating with fireplace and BBQ by the landscapes/ aquasccapes. In general, a green building which ensures cross ventilation, follows vaastu and sustainability principles could be packaged as one product and aesthetics seamlessly merges with functionality.
