yvonne, yes i guess we can use it in the dining. The dinining room is small and doesnt have any windows. the kitchen has a lot of natural light that will come across to the dining due to the open kitchen plan. We will be buying new furniture for the dining. We could buy a glass top table with wood chairs / wood table with wood chairs. The room will be painted offwhite similar color as the base of this fabric. All walls will be painted the same color by the builder, Afer taking possession of the house we can repaint it where needed for accent wall etc. Its an appartment, we live in India.

In One such house in Gujarat, Muninder and Bishakha coloured the old sofa set with whtie (The sofa is like yours) and changed the centre table. Interestingly, the family also had your kind of sofa set and they also want some modern style. The architect duo did not changed the sofa, just changed the colour. The welcoming bronze Idol with flower garland in the hands is a cute idea. And the walkway to reach Radha Krishna in the Brindhavan wading through a stream of water & pebbles is a uniquely brilliant idea which simply stands apart from the herd thinking. The designer has actually mimicked a mini version of Brindavanam. And a center hanging bell is awesome. Hats off to his creative thinking.
