A houzz contributor, not too long ago, had made a wine rack out of 4'x4' wooden pallets, that are used in the US to move a load of goods with a fork-lift truck. Perhaps they have them in your country. He cut them in half so they were only two feet deep and stacked them up to high counter height. Hi , I think if ever you want to sell this property in the future - you will need to follow Vastu guidelines in the design at this point - otherwise this may hinder resale. Assuming that the architect has followed this and the plan is set - I would suggest you use colours and artwork to create the look that you are after ... Also consider shelving going across the full window wall - this will give you extra storage and also somewhere to grow herbs etc in front of the window - maybe even have a deeper shelf at worktop height and a stool infront of the window ? If you do a picture search on elements that you would like to add - ie kitchen "turquoise accessories" or kitchen "gold" etc you will get lots of inspirational images to help you get an attractive kitchen ... I would however like to clarify my requirements/dilemma a bit more. 1) The built/carpet area for this 3 BHK is about 1600 sqft (Superbuilt 1960 sqft). What is the appropriate tile size I need to scout for? More specifically, will Ultima-range-like huge tile sizes (i.e. 120x180cm2, 120x120cm2) be suitable for this area? 2) While I am thinking of white (based) tiles, I am not necessarily looking for super-white tones (it gives a bit of a commercial look, and will need extreme maintenance). Something more practical, and with some depth/dimension is what I am trying to identify. Any suggestions? 3) Would you advice that I consider other white-toned flooring options like Terrazzo (Bharat Floorings is having a Cast-in-Situ option, but I am yet to go to their showroom)? See you need to fill it with colourful stuff. First thing u can change the ceiling fan. You can get latest designer one's. False ceiling appears to be done. If you want to continue with same sofa try to make over with that suits your taste. You can have wall decor/painting and Center table can be changed I think anyways happy searching The
