Flooring Design Dilemma Kitchens

We had to have our kitchen sink, counters, and floors taken out. Looking for ideas on the repairs. We're open to any types of floor surfaces but were initially thinking hardwoods (most of the house is hardwoods). Will probably do a lighter stain due to the lack of natural light, but unsure of how to tie together with new backsplash, cabinets, etc. So many options! Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey Katy!
How about using large white tiles with or without spacers? You can use transition strips in brass between the hardwood and the tile and tie in the brass finish to the sink faucet and lights. ( That is if you want to change the lights! I think you should) and instead of using warm lights, go for natural white. in the 4000 - 4500 Kelvin range. and perhaps a fixture that gives more light to your room!

Hey kate,

You can go with Warm, honey-toned wood floors ,Since its a small area flooring with light wood tone will give you a rich look

And go for white gloss finish laminates
for the cabinent, since you are worried about lighting.Gloss finish reflects and make the area look brighter.

It sounds like you have first hand experience with buying "cheap" kitchen cabinets - they just dont hold up more than 5 or 10 years. There are 2 issues with budget kitchen cabinets first is the structure/wood used..if not built correctly the wood dents and joints break with wear and tear. Rajkumar, There are a lot of materials available but IMHO the BWP ply as the core material is best suited for Kitchen. Laminates, Glass, Acrylic are the top 3 picks for finishes for above parameters. Get trusted hardware Hettich/Hafelle/Blum/Ebco are few of the good ones. Chimney, width and suction power two most important criteria. Added features like oil collection are a good option. A McSo. Couldn't the base of 15cm overhang be supported end to end with steel. As a single steel structure mounted on the larger cabinet area visible here. It should be sufficient for supporting the extension. Corbels will provide additional support but IMHO may not be required. Hello, everyone! I had my kitchen remodeled in 2018. Huge remodel, down to the studs, etc. My husband recently noticed that on one large wall cabinet, the doors had become uneven. Upon inspection, the cabinet is sagging and seems to be coming apart. I've added some photos here to show the uneven doors, what the shelves look like, what we're keeping in the cabinets, and where you can see the cabinet coming apart at the top. This is a three-door cabinet -- two doors on the right and one on the left. I'm planning to contact our contractor who installed the cabinets, but I hope to get some opinions here: Does it look like the cabinet wasn't glued properly? Did we store too much stuff in here? Was it a bad design to have such a large box to begin with? Cabinet is 53" wide, 42" high, frameless, hybrid construction. None of the other cabinets show any such problems. Thanks for any observations, information or opinions you can offer.
