Hello Vineetha, God is everywhere ! If you are going to use the room as a study room then you may very well keep the Pooja room in the same room. Its will be your sacred corner and hope it will bring peace, prosperity and knowledge to the family. That room is already very small in fact at 3200*2300 it is smaller than your kitchen ?Trimming a section from the smallest room to create Pooja room defies our understanding. If you are keen on Vastu- Yes, it is better to have square/rectangle rooms. North east corners are ideal for Pooja and Study. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs Bangalore.

Thanks for clarifying Sneha. Its a north facing property so the TV unit is placed in north , are you willing to compromise on that if you need a pooja room in NE. Please include the directions in the plan to avoid confusion. A four seater dining may not be of much help as the width of the table remains approximately same its only the length that is reduced. We also need to maintain safe distance from the TV unit plus we have a french window on the west side. It may require some structural changes, in discussion with your designer, to the plan to accommodate a pooja room without compromising on the looks. Are you willing for that. When dimensioning a classroom or teaching space, the best rule of thumb to produce both good sightlines and efficient layout is as follows: the space needs to be slightly rectangular, but NOT long and narrow. If X = 1, then Y should = 1.2 ideally, and no more than 1.5. Consider a comfortable space of 12 sqft. per student so if you have 6 students in a classroom then 72 sqft. + teaching space and walking space (60 sqft. or more) so say roughly you need 130 - 140 sqft. of space per class.
