Even the chalkboard wall can again occupy the whole wall or contained within a pattern like below: For painting, a great way of using up space will be to purchase small square canvases that she can paint on and as she finished them, have a wall dedicated to this. This wall can be the wall with smaller width of space available where 3 or 4 canvases( atleast ) make a row. If you veer towards the former then keep a majority of your bedding white or light grey while the adding a hint of darkness through a few small cushions. On the flip side, if you want a dark and cosy bedroom, then opt for a plain dark bedding that contrasts with the duvet. We suggest opting for a dark grey/brown rather than a going for completely black sheets as this adds visual interest. Though it actually feels a bit more masculine to me with the cleans lines and the weightiness of it. But still gorgeous either way.
Not sure about the wallpaper ... I think it is pretty, but I can't quite imagine all that pattern showing through the cutouts in the back of the headboard. Is it too late to change that decision?
out of the pendants that you posted, I think I like the crystal globes the best with your bed frame. But I would also probably consider something a bit more clean lined, like a drum pendant.

12 years agoVery cool bed! I would not go with the wallpaper ... at least not behind the bed. The cutout acts as a huge piece of art and it's pattern will clash with the wallpaper's pattern.
I would just paint the room a beautiful color (teal? grayish blue?) .. will act as a backdrop for the headboard.
These pendants would add a bit of drama that you wanted and they mimic the pattern of the headboard:

12 years agoExciting bed, exciting wallpaper! Too much excitement together! If you love the wallpaper take it to your bath and/or closet and use a color from it on the wall behind the ornate headboard. Here is what Sherwin Williams detects in it.
I think I might like the black chandy hanging in the center of the bed coming right through the open top of it. Looks like electrical and switches may already be installed on either side of the bed. In that case try something like these.

I dont plan to wallpaper the area behind the cut work on my bed, since it wont really show through. Just on the remaining part of the wall, surronding the windows and everything. U think that is a bad idea?
I do like the idea of using one solid colour behind the bed, one of the pinks in the wallpaper maybe. But this could mean that i have no where else to use this wallpaper in the house :|
Ive attached more images of my room. The room opens into a tiny area for the vanity table and mirror. But im not too sure if wallpapering this area would look nice since it is a very narrow space and the wallpaper might be overwhelming.
Also I could really use some advice on what coloured blinds/curtains would look nice.
Now thats too many questions I know, But im really confused! Thanks again everyone for liking the design of my bed and offering very helpful tips :)

- 12 years agoI think I see a great area for your wallpaper. Inside the trimmed out sections of that large window wall! You can even add some additional trim pieces easily to make it fancier for your fancy paper, then fill the inside of the trimmed sections with your wallpaper. It will make that a stunning wall.

living room · More Info - 12 years agoAs much as I love your suggestion, I dont think I can do that since those are actually cupboards and storage drawers in wood, and the exposed rectangular area of the (white) wall is where the air-conditioner will go.
Alternatively I could wallpaper the vanity area maybe? Iwas originally thinking about a mirrored vanity table. Then paint the rectangular framed space one of the colours on the wallpaper (such as magenta) and place a mirror there.

PRO12 years agolast modified: 12 years agoSince you have the pattern against the wall I would opt to add a hanging drum or mini-chandelier near the center or end of the bed. I like the suggestion for a gold drum or a little crystal chandelier would look feminine and dainty. Here is one pretty option we sell at www.mylampshadeworks.com
