If you go with the black bed, get a rustic and in fall colors night stand, that will stand up with the orange. Or that particular bedspread has golds, browns, and other shades... you might even be able to work a fall leaf red (sort of a dark faded red) in there for the night stand and the red into more accent pillows that would take the Halloween away. Stay away from bright limey greens and not picking up more of the orange or black and you could make it work well.

We may need more photos but the first thing I see is that the glass elevation is fairly contemporary, however, the gate and grate on the lower elevation deserves to have the horizontal lines of the upper railing. The entry door that now appears to be wood toned ought to be painted white to match the mullions on the other elevation OR be painted in a contemporary bright. Since the house appears to have a pale green/yellow on the stucco above, a great color to go with the pale lime for the front door would be turquoise, or purple. All the white that now has some gray (stucco repair) needs to get a fresh coat of white. Need more photos to do more.

Your white walls are too stark for your wood trim. Softer whites and other tints might warm up the room. Lots of Houzz discussion lately on best paint colors for rooms with wood trim. We just moved into a new house. It has high ceilings. Kitchen, Living and Family room all flow together in a large room. The walls have been painted and we dont want to change the wall colors at this time. I am interested in getting some advice on the type of furniture to buy, rugs (colors, patterns), wall decor (painting, clocks), furniture arrangement and the colors to use. The large island also has a pull-out breakfast counter. But, we want to add a nook table. Please suggest ideas. Thanks.
