Cost is a factor also between papering and paint. 20 years ago, I painted and wallpapered everything myself. 10 years ago when I moved and bought a condo, I hired the papering and I did the painting. Last year when I downsized, my handyman and I just did the painting. No paper. I have found that at my age papering is too much for me. When I get down I can't get up and when I am up it feels too good to get down :>)

Dear gy3( is that Gayatri !) Yes, everything is too messy and cluttered plus i am finding your spaces not so big. First, you need to sort out and arrange everything in a very clean and sophisticated manner. Second, use more of light and neutral colours as much as possible as it provides a very serene environment and makes rooms look bigger than they are. Use more of white and grey instead brown and black. That purple wall is also quite dull and boring. Third, replace your furniture if possible with more contemporary furniture's, when your furniture are clean and seamless they helps room look bigger. Fourth, Your ceiling is the worst part. Again go with crisp cut ceiling design if you want to do new or paint everything white if you want to retain it. Fifth, please don't use blue or any other colour lights. give me some time I have an idea to do for these pillars after application of the film... I will surely post it.... What I plan to do is have three long glass vases with translucent pebbles in it which will look good even when the light is off ... Also the vases will contain nice decorative small leaves metallic flowers ...i am not able to find these tall vases at least 35 cm tall (total height of one box is 74 cm) searching for them... any inputs ?
