Need advice regarding 1200 house design
Comments (24)Hi Sir, Since you are done Identifying your needs and limitations follow some referenced tips! Like thinking about three viable plans gives you greater flexibility if some elements are unworkable after talking to your designer/architect. They also help you clarify the mix of elements that are most important and the least to your family and your lifestyle. You also need to separate your interior design and completion of the home budget, which includes new fittings and furniture, garden treatments, etc., from the building budget. Finally, after working out a budget, determine if your expectations are realistic. If certain elements may make you go over budget, tweak and adjust your plans so they are viable. Once you have finalised your top 3 house plans, you should choose someone to make them a concrete floor plan to develop. if not? try these tips to communicate your vision - use software, Pin it, make mood boards and gather sample materials. Comments (16)This is the changes i made according to ur suggestions. Removed balcony and added a bow window for drawing room. One bedroom on the right gets a attached balcony. Work area or utility area can be extended upto 60 cm to the right which will be open to air and metal grill works may b done. I also extended some space near staircase to act as shoerack. Also for the other bedroom and kitchen , space extended outward for builtin cupboard . I cannot push back the toilet near the kitchen because of the space constrains. My only issue that fiddles my mind is that , is there a problem if kitchen door is close to toilet door?? If so i can attach the toilet to the bedroom nearby. Only issue will be that if incase any guest need to use the toilet, then they have to go through the bedroom. Thanks in advance and grateful for all your inputs....See MoreRenovation:: Do you really need to dump all old things?
Comments (12)Thanks for both of your responses CUBSpaces team and Shweta from Shades studio. It really gives a clarity about possible consequences. I am now doubt free about changing whole things in Bathroom as it will be interconnected. However will appreciate your opinion on few things: 1. Kitchen wall tiles: I have those from countertop height to roof(almost area of 6X15 feet) which are good and not hollow. I changed countertop 5 years back without any damage to these tiles. It might cost me another 10-15 K, but I feel the whole process and quantity of wasting old good tiles makes me little sad. 2. kitchen countertop: Made new around 5 years back. I don't expect to get it all intact. But large pieces can be cut and can be used as top for other freestanding structures like dishwasher, front load washer, heighten base cabinets, etc. 3. Plywood: I don't mind giving enough labour charges for old sheets recycle. I am planning to use doors, loose sheets(like kept on bed frame of settee frame.) or parts of big frames like settee. I am keen on reducing waste than to save money. You can see various DIY ideas by western people, who remove or sand laminates and re-paint furniture, or carefully remove hollow tiles and re-attach them. Some are also re-painting ceramic tiles. I am just asking myself: Are we creating more and more waste by use and throw approach every 10-15 years, just because we can afford it?...See MoreVastu makers
