A houzz contributor, not too long ago, had made a wine rack out of 4'x4' wooden pallets, that are used in the US to move a load of goods with a fork-lift truck. Perhaps they have them in your country. He cut them in half so they were only two feet deep and stacked them up to high counter height. Google "collecting methane gases".....BTW, clean hay (i heard dry hay) once it's ignited the fire rapidly takes off and no fun in trying to put that out...ask any fire person trying to put out brush fires--> I woudn't store dried out hay in a methane collection facility

1. Keep only what you need or want and avoid duplicates. Ahh. if only life were only that simple. You move in together with a "relationship" and your partner's "stuff" is "nicer" so you sell everything. Well, ladies and gentlemen, if it doesn't work out, if it wasn't "yours" before you moved in you'll have nothing when you move out. Consider all options. Store items of "yours" for a while that you'd like to keep, just in case. :) Store Grandma's antiques that you like that you may regret selling. If you Hate the antiques, sell them. 2. If your new abode is only YOURS.,,.keep only what you love and eliminate duplicates.

Poor insulation = poor temperature control. Ventilation might help (in the summer) but won't do anything in winter. Your poor insulation is the GREATEST problem. Old windows is the next issue. The way to solve this = NEW insulation for exterior walls AND under the roof. Good luck. It is an expensive fix.
