I agree that all pulls looks better than knobs and pulls. I also don't think you should consider square pulls. They're going to get loose, and twist, and show wear marks whenever they're not perfectly aligned. I like the Alexander pull you posted. You just want to make sure whatever you choose has a variety of sizes so you can size accordingly.

Disagree a little bit, I like a combination of both.

I like a combination of knobs and pulls, but agree on the no square knobs point.

I like a combo better also. Most nice quality square knobs will have that little "point" that digs into your door and keeps the knobs straight.

you don't have to decide right now. you really should let a few items, if not all of the items, be installed first. knobs cost a lot to return.... and your contractor will come back to drill holes if you havent decided on the 'last day' of construction.

i also like knobs on top and pulls on the bottom... all them pulls would be a visual distraction to me...

we haven't had any issues with knobs moving, been installed over 5 years.

i had them picked & installed while cabs were being made/before delivery.

so many, too many really to choose from!! just be sure to actually feel them to be sure they are comfortable when u 'pull' them!! that's the most important!!!

I dislike knobs, increasing difficult as my arthritis worsens -- and never loved them to begin with. I like the symmetry of all pulls also. The only place I think knobs look right is on very small cabinets.

If you do decide on knobs, and whatever pulls, give a thought to keeping them clean. Small grooves and such do collect grunge. Also as mentioned above, test them out for comfort in the hand -- think of using with slippery fingers or trying to grab with just one or 2 fingers (like in the middle of mixing something, am I the only one who ever needs to? LOL). Are they large enough to grab easily? Do they have projections that might catch or gouge your clothing?

All that said, the pulls you are looking at are pretty contemporary -- is that the look you are going for with your yellow shaker cabinets? To me, the Trinity pull is just too severe -- I could see it on my vintage Danish Modern pieces, not so much on shaker.

I hate knobs - just an easy way to get "crud" on your cabinets. I agree with Jan - all pulls, single pull on drawers etc.

Kitchens are "busy" places - so many different shapes/sizes/materials. The simpler one keeps it, the better. Pulls are like jewelry - never wear too much!

I found some knobs and pulls at Anthropologie, but a wondering if the knob, although simple, is too modern. Opinions? I have 6 drawers, 3 pots and pan drawers, and 27 knobs, assuming knobs on cabinets, pulls on drawers.

The LAST place I would buy knobs and pulls is Anthropologie. No matter what and where, get a few extra of anything. You want what you want. All pulls looks newer. : )

Anthropologie’s hardware gets terrible reviews. I have Rejuvenation sphere knobs on a dresser and love them. There’s no rush for knobs, I would go for those.

I used knobs on doors and pulls on drawers. Restoration Hardware oil rubbed bronze (which looks almost black) would work very nicely with your yellow cabinets and soapstone counter tops. I wouldn't use any Art Deco or modern looking hardware. The Art Deco knob you referred to has a lot of detailing that will attract dirt and be hard to clean. I'd keep it simple.

Also, if you use pulls, use good sized ones. I used 6" pulls on all the drawers, except a very narrow drawer where I used a 4" pull, and 8" on the pantry.

Based on what you seem to be drawn to, and what you have already chosen for your kitchen elements, makes it difficult for me to make a suggestion. You have pretty traditional, even old fashioned, major elements (shaker, pine, soapstone) and those beautiful more modern but curvy pendants. Of course those styles can be mixed successfully, but you seem to want to go in a 3rd direction -- very angular, sharply squared -- with your pulls/knobs, and that doesn't relate to anything else.

What metal will your pendants be?

I am thinking that you would want to echo the shape of the pendants a bit, and the finish, and use a somewhat gentler profile, like rounded corners, oblong or oval shapes (even if still modern) for the knobs/pulls to pull it all together.

So, I would say no to the Quinn style (which remind me of mid-50's outer space inspired design), and also no to the Aubrey/Ephraim style (I would like those, but they don't seem to be what you are looking for).
