We initially planned to renovate our old home. But during the middle of renovation work, we changed our mindset to build a new one. Hence we made a house design by ourselves(3BHK) with the help of our local builder and to save the cost we tried to reuse all possible materials that were extracted while demolishing our old home((i.e.., like red tiles placed on the top of left side of porch). The project is in last phase, now I feel that still we could do something to enhance the beauty of exterior of home by getting some ideas from experts. We just finished the painting of primer coating, yet to paint the final color. The pic you posted with color looks awesome, planning to paint the same color. Are you saying you will be layering a wooden false wall on top of the existing wall to hold the pocket door? If that is the case, you might want to treat the entire side of that new and existing wall ( including the area above doorway) as an accent wall using wood veneer strips. They look like actual pieces of wood plank which have adhesive backing, they come in a variety of finishes and colors...I like the old reclaimed wood look. A diagonal pattern would add extra visual interest, but would be more intense to cut and install. That will camouflage the additional layer and create a beautiful accent wall.

Hi Nitin, Since the FAR in Delhi has increased so our society is extending all 3bhk 2toilet units to 4bhk 4toilets unit.That's why we had closed the door to the toilet from master bedroom.A big bathroom is coming up with master bedroom. We have 2 wardrobes each in all 3 bedrooms making it total of 6. Except the long one 6'6" one in master bedroom all are having hinged doors.All door panels will be 8' tall.The kid's room l colour has been finalized to lime merino to keep it in sink with the toy unit which will be broadly white in colour with red,blue,yellow n green marino lam inside the open boxes of toy unit.The study table would also b in white n some light wooden texture. About both bedrooms it's not decided yet.We are open for same concept for both the bedrooms but since the master bedroom wardrobe is quite big we were thinking of using some simple n sophisticated colour to give it a rich look. The door will have DP18 LOREDO WENGE veneer.The TV unit,crockery case and other wood work in living room will have a19 CANALETTO WALLNUT n NIMBUS CORIAN. I think by now u would have got a fair idea of our taste which would help you to finalize the concept. In case any more input is required from my side I wud readily send them.
