Most wall art looks best when hung at eye level or slightly lower than eye level. Keep in mind how the art will be viewed most often (from a standing or sitting position). Also, consider where the picture is being hung. For children's rooms, hang kids art at the eye level of the child. When hanging art above furniture, have twice as much space above the art than below it. A general guideline to follow for framed artwork is 4 to 8 inches from the surface of the furniture to the bottom of the frame. For framed art prints, a good rule of thumb is to center the frame 60 inches off the floor. To do this, measure the height of the frame and divide by two. Then measure the space from the wire to the top of the frame and subtract this number from the first number. Now add 60 inches to this figure. This is the point to insert the hook. When your picture hangs from the hook it should hang approximately one-third from the top of the frame.

Please note that One longer side of the "L" portion is used to pass through, but the shorter side of the "L" portion does not open up so if need be i can put something. there is a french window which is fixed and cannot be opened up on the shorter side. that side is only useful to get some light in the house. My living room is in white and grey combination. Do u want me to have a rug in the same combination or anything else would be fine. Would appreciate if you can suggest a kind of vase that would go with it. My theme is modern style in the house. Hi, I am from Assam, Guwahati. Yes it is warm humid place with lot of rains (like kerala). The bookcase is gradually drying. Fortunately last few days were very sunny and airy and my room has two big windows. Few mor details of my bookcase. It is 8 feet wide, 6 feet tall and 11 inch deep. It was attached with wall with 6 wall screw and has four pair of legs.I ask the carpenter to divide the bookcase into 3 part (32 inch each) and two door system for each part. Every part has 6 shelve from top to botom. There is no plywood or wood in back. I made it that way because the bookcase is attached in my room's inner wall I understand that the bookcase may have very little gap in between wall and wooden planks and i am ready for it. But I have no idea that beacuse of faulty mesurement, it became 1 inch gap between wall and sheve in the upper side. In lower side it is very minimum gap. I stop the carpenters to put the glass door. But now I see that they also make fault in making the doors. The doors are heavier that the shelf. The wooden planks are 1 inch thick while the door are 1.1/2 inch thick. I actually visit few hardwere shops here, but most have no ideas what to do and few says to apply wall putty to fill the gap. But my back wall is coloured (old wall, that why) and wall putty will not set on old wall and timber. I cannot remove it now from the wall otherwise the wall may destroyed. I really need a step by step guide now that what to do after the heves are dry, how to fil the gap and how to put the door without further damaging the shelf.

Hi Shraddha, From the images posted by you it is evident that you already have your under counter storage planned and in place. However, if this is not sufficient for you, there are a number of things you can add to increase storage in your kitchen. Let's take a look - 1] The conventional overheads Pros: Adding overhead units provides you with almost as big a storage space as your under counters. All your additional utensils can be easily accommodated in these cabinets hence making the space clutter free. Also, since the cabinets have shutters, all the mess goes behind them and the kitchen looks neater and cleaner. You may opt for the regular swing shutters or the more modern lift ups. Cons: The overhead cabinets make the kitchen space look smaller. Go for light coloured panels/shutters to give it a spacious look. 2] Ledges Pros: Ledges come very handy for keeping frequently used items such as tea, coffee, salt, sugar etc. They look sleek and can add an aesthetic element to your kitchen space. Cons: Since, the ledges are always exposed to dust, cleaning is a task. Also, one needs to keep the items on the ledges in an organised manner to avoid a crowded and clumsy look. 3] Tall unit Pros: If your kitchen is big enough, you can always add a tall unit. This is big enough to house your grains, pulses and all other kids of items and can hold quite a lot of weight. It occupies somewhere between 1' 6" - 3" of space in the kitchen so opt accordingly. Cons: Tall units are expensive due to their hardware and accessories.
