I don't think your floor drawings attached, but let's get this started. First of all, coastal India means you have fabulous elements to draw from and you can use lots of color successfully! Pull together a palette that will give some continuity to the entire space. For example, include a blue that is found in each room (enough to notice). And when mixing patterns and textures, take a good look at them together before purchasing to be sure there's some flow. NOTHING needs to match, but they all need to get along.

OK... but the wire wont be lower as it is fixed now. The wire in the pics below is the wall facing each other. They were leveled on equal height but the beam on one wall makes it seem a little above. But i think you guys are absolutely right that up and down lights wont look good there. I think you are right about down lights lessismoore. Would it look good if i go with two different lights on opposite walls??? it would look odd right.

Mohammad. I understand your program. You may be lost in the details at the moment. Please do follow and trust the advice given here by all these people. You are about to embark on a reasonably expensive journey. Get professional help with someone who you can sit down at a table and brainstorm with them your ideas and intentions. There are Architects and there are professional building designers who are members of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) who are well versed in projects such as yours. I personally love a design challenge. After 38 years designing homes and special use buildings I enjoy this type of challenge the most. I am in Ohio and may not be close to where you are but I am sure with a little investigation you will find the best design professional for you.

Hi, Congratulations on your new home! It seems really lovely place. I'd like to know whether are you planning on renovating whole space or just changing the furniture? If you are only going for furniture, here are few images of couch attached, please have a look. I say, align the couch along the walls so that you can get more area to use. Go for regular couch and chairs. If I'm not wrong TV is placed above the fireplace. Suggestion: bring it to eye level. TV is normally placed at the height of an average 30".
