HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)

Dear Balaji, Tried and tested colour combinations that make wood work stand out will be in contrast to dark brown. You can choose reflective colours like pale yellow, off white.. In Berger Paints you could check out 3P1844 Sauvignon White, 3P1854 Fresh Linen, 7P0185 Fabulous White. Also, the website offers Virtual Colour Painter which you can use by uploading your room photo. Hello Rachna, We have gone through your posts. Please clarify the room size is it 12x8 or 16x9.3 . Let's start from bottom line, what is the budget that you can spare now for the makeover. A lot of remodelling would depend upon the budget .BTW, I really appreciate your honesty about the affordability ! Coming back to the topic, I believe your TV unit is placed in a good position but other units will require movement. Please do confirm the size. Hello there, since you have got a blank canvas, I would suggest hiring a designer first for a coherent design and decor. As for the living room TV unit, you could do with floating shelves and a wallpapered backdrop for TV with wall mount.
