quartz is a man made product using natural stone and a resin material. No sealing and is stain proof. I have had my granite for 10 years. I have never had a staining issue and set hot pots down on it seldom, but it has never bothered it. I've sealed it maybe 2-3 times over 10 years. granite really doesn't stain. So, compared to quartz, they are very similar. It all comes down to what you like the best.

If you are looking for fancy kitchen with good looks, go for good quality Quartz like AGL or Kalinga Quartz. It's a good alternate to granite but also is costlier. There is some negative reviews of Quartz/Corian tops due to low quality and unknown brands providing at cheap price. if you have budget constraint, then can opt of Granite.

Which is the best wholesale markets?

It all depends on the budget you are looking at. As an architect i would give preference to granite over quartz any day. If your budget is INR 150-300 per sqft then go for south indian granites and if your budget is INR 500-1200 per sqft then go for Imported granite (Suggestions : Bianco Antico (in white), Blue Pearl (in dark blue-dark grey tone), Baltic brown : light+dark brown combination). As far as Kalinga quartz or any other brand quartz is concerned i find it not at all value for money, you'd end up spending INR 500+ sqft on something which is still in its experiment stage in India. The company is spending money on marketing and PR thats why new architects would promptly suggest quartz. I have heard enough complaints from home owners about quartz discoloration and bending. Fun fact : there is no warranty on any defects arising in quartz due to usage, which explains even the manufacturer of quartz dont want to take the responsibility of there own product.
