before and after of our lounge

just a before and after of our lounge we've almost recently finished. Just need to add some side tables and we're debating on what floor standing light we'd like to replace. Either a tripod with a dark grey lampshade?

Comments (44)I like second plan! That space will fit the wardrobe perfectly. Take all colors from the art. The colors can be lighter or darker than the colors you see in art. Take "Venice" with you to paint store and they might be able to help you choose good colors. Idea: paint four walls the same and see if you like that. For the second one : You may have to hire a renowned/ registered agency for the balance work. Yes, they are usually costlier but they have a reputation and they have earned it for a reason. Comments (8)Hi Kiran, Before you place any furniture here, you should rethink the existing layout. I would eliminate the 3 internal walls around the puja room, and convert the areas of the living, puja, dining and kitchen, into a singular larger space. This is simply for better air circulation and overall aesthetics of the flat - to make it feel larger. You will now have an open kitchen - which can be shut by either a glass sliding folding partition, or with a half wall with a breakfast bar. You can use furniture smartly to create privacy for individual areas. You can also change the locations of the doors to the bedrooms, by not having them from the dining space, but from the passage outside the bathrooms; so that a larger table right in the centre with a dining credenza by one of the walls, thereby making the dining space a bit enclosed and not accessible from 3 sides. To answer your main question, you can have the television on the common wall between the living and bathroom (5'x8'); an L-shaped sofa can be placed along the same wall as the entrance door. 7 years agoWow. This is gorgeous. I would definitely go for a grey rug, with a hide or faux fur Texture. Maybe a lamp such as the one I've attached. And Mike, the chair is Strandmon, IKEA.

I like the colour combos you have chosen, grey and mustard always works. Regarding floor lamps to suit, I might consider the Tom Dixon felt to match or the classic Rosy Angelis if you are looking for a neutral contrast. I definitely think a tripod style would suit best over a table lamp.
