Comments (3)Hello! We are in the process of building a home and I have concerns with ceiling heights. The house with 11ft ceilings throughout. I have spoken with builder also cost is not so matter but In the living room but the concept is an open layout of 10 x 9.5 with the kitchen, bedroom and children room opening to the living area. If 11 feet too much of a change for a seamless transition; should I make the height 10ft instead? Also living room ceiling but want to hear some opinions before I do; the living room is about 17 x 16 it's double height . Thank...See MoreAny scope to improve this layout?
Comments (9)Following will be costly and my mobile editing is not so good(bear with me Main door, change to double panel. Opening inside(current left side opening from outside is no good). Kitchen door... to open outside. Single/double panel?(your choice as per ground reality) Move sofa+tv accordingly. You see ppl outside your main door. Anyone walking outside dont see your TV Demolish full wall separating dining/kitchen. Demolish half wall separating drawing room/kitchen. Move fridge to that half wall(its marked €). TV side of wall can be made a feature wall with differentiating painting or wallpaper that may carry on to TV.. upto main door. Move stove(NW kitchen, so cook facing west, vastu). Small stove area, but functional. If there is money, design n replace the dining table to serve dual purpose.. a kitchen island++dining table and lit up with nice dropping lighting....See MoreLayout Design suggestions

Comments (7)Many thanks for your valuable comments. 1. My intention of raised cabinets was to clean it daily, as cabinets that touch floor accumulate lot of dust and food particles below. If we rule out steel legs, any inputs on raised floor only of cabinet area and then cabinets?(Just like plinth in modular cabinets- but this will be permanent and of tiles) I have not seen such structure anywhere, so curious if it will work. Otherwise I will go with traditional ones. 2. Moving pooja out of kitchen is very difficult as other rooms are just enough for their function. Currently a small Mandir is attached on wall where Fridge is shown in layout. I thought the new area could be little extra for all pooja related things. Will like to know the reason of your recommendation, is it odd in whole design, or not suitable in area .. or anything else? How about moving it to corner of dining area?...See MoreUser
