Comments (7)The simplest thing to do would be to get rid of the small stuff you have on your wall and replace it with something big. You might try a big mirror with a black frame. You need more stuff up high, so consider putting something on top of the high shelves. I really like your muted colour scheme and the pop provided to the muted scheme by the comode with the green and red. The green picks a little out of the couches. The problem, from a colour point of view, is the yellow-tan cabinet and coffee table. Having three cabinets on one wall is brobs too cluttered. You MIGHT remove the center cabinet, replace it with the comode to cover the switches, then put something big to balance the cabinet on the left, or, better yet, get rid of it too. You could put down a rug with matching colours....See MoreNeed Help in designing this living room
Comments (6)So sorry.....I see the dimensions on your floor plan now....oops. It was middle of night here. You have a great place with lots of options. I will try to find a picture for you, but here is what I would try. TV on left wall. Put it on a console table 20" to 30" high, or wall mounted with a wall mounted console below. TV should not be too high or too low for viewing pleasure. The main walkway to the balcony will be on left side in front of TV. To see how the arrangement feels, Try your sofa on the right wall facing the TV. Then put one of the chairs in front of the sofa with its back to the glass and the other opposite of it with the back to your entry. If you feel this arrangement is too far from the TV, a sofa table can be used behind the sofa to move the whole seating arrangement forward. Then if this feels good, you can add a rug. The rug should be at least big enough that the front feet of the furniture can rest on it. You will then need tables on the sides of your sofa. You have the choice of a coffee table or what is called "cocktail ottoman" which you can put a tray for drinks and food on, but still put your feet up. That is always nice when watching TV. If you like this arrangement and go to buy new furniture pieces, get the chairs on each side of the sofa that swivel so the person can watch TV easily. You need to think a lot about what colors you will use in this houses if any rooms are done, take some cues there. It's a big decision that will influence every purchase. Find a 3 color combo that appeals to you. Again look on Houzz at the living room pictures. Post some here that you like....See MoreNeed help in interior
Comments (6)Hi Magesh. It depends what kind of impression you want to convey, and the kind of customer you wish to attract. Some showrooms place the furniture in groupings to show a collection and suggest combinations, complete with lamps and a painting or clock on the wall. The customer would then pass through several of these on their way though the store. This might appeal to a high-end customer. Another approach might be to break up the sets and group everything by type. Rows of sofas, rows of tables, rows of bookcases. This would appeal to the bargain hunters and give the impression of abundance....See Moreneed help for home living room wall whitewash
Comments (1)White wash in its true form is not a full cover technique...therefore the material being covered defines the finished look... This being said ...trial and error is usually the only option...however if a specific look is what you desire and you can find good pictures ...a painter who is an artist can usually duplicate it...at a premium price I would suggest you dissect what it is that u like...duller finish?...varied coloration?aged look?...with a detailed description of the factors that draw you a good paint store may be able to recommend a paint that is designed to do this......See Moreraineycarole
