Looks like a lot of reasonable decisions were made. What is bothering you here? The only thing that catches my eye is where the shower pan meets the tub surround -- makes it look like something wasn't built level, maybe the floor?

What mostly bothers me is the tile slivers. Is it normal to have such small cut tiles?

well it's not grouted yet. What is bothering you? Not quite sure why you went with this tile, but what exactly don't you like? what's with the shower pan/and tile gap? whats going there?

ah, those. poor tile layout. he could have laid it out a different way and not had the slivers. He would have had to cut the full tiles. Looks like he started from the shower and worked his way right, thereby ending up w/a tiny space.

The craftsmanship looks very good (for all the cuts that he did!) The layout not so much. Seems like he started at the shower base with a full tile and then needed to cut the tile on the top and bottom, so this can and should be fixed. What bothers me more is the alignment of the tub and shower. The shower bases is under the tub deck and the tub is no centered on the deck and again sitting under the tile which make no sense to me.

The tiles you have chosen are wrong for this application they are too small and will always have to have slivers somewhere IMO the tile setter should have mentioned this before starting the job the tiles across the end of the tub make no sense why ther has to be slivers there and the tile on the long back wall should have been aligned

Is this grouted yet? I would match the grout color to the tiles to minimize the appearance of the grout lines.

You should have gone with either a marble or white quartz tub surround for no grout lines. It would have helped hide any imperfection.
