Comments (9)I have a few suggestions. Hope these will help. Go for a wooden sofa set. I know many people nowadays tend to go for fabric sofa sets and sectionals, but i fee that wooden sofas never go out of style. Also, you can change the upholstery colour any time if you want a more colourful look or a colourful slip cover (you can get a local uphostery guy to custom stitch one) which can be washed easily. Go for sleek furnitures that are not heavy. You can also add a few accent furniture pieces like an accent chair if the space allows for it. There are couple of things to note when you bring in colour. Choose one primary colour and maximum two secondary colours. After you choose your colours, pick your decor. Add dashes of these colours through cushions, vases, flowers, paintings, figurines, curtains, carpets and other decor pieces. Comments (11)Kelly, if you would want it to appear in the center, you may have to add a mirror half way up on the left wall. Adding long barn shelves on the back side will add to the centered look. PRO9 years agoSince you already have the bare bones in place, a good place to start for a Princess makeover is some nice plush bedding, maybe a solid one without print, you can introduce a third color like pink/purple or a soft blues and continue accessorizing with the same color. Add some throw cushions.

and crystal/iridescent beaded curtains near the bed (pic attached)
Add a princess wall decal (may be glow in the dark) with the same color.
May be put a nice art work on that niche may be the one on the shelf if you are going with pic as your third color

PRO9 years agoIn addition to the above told suggestions I would like to give a little clear idea of what could be done.. Using voile curtains with fairy lights will definitely glam it up.. just like the image I've attached. Also adding a tutu bed skirt will make it more girly (light green will do). A poster with a Disney typography could be put up beside the yellow shelves.. The Initials of your daughter can also be made and put up on one of the centre cupboards. The drawer knobs could also be replaced with crystal types!
