Hi Ra, I really like the way you have "played" with top cabinets in the kitchen to maximize the storage space (maybe I would have done it in white, but that's just an opinion). I'd like to know the way they have been set up, did you use some structure to hang them and increase the resistance?

Seems weird not to incorporate it into the design -- I'm all about having things "look intentional" rather than working around them later. Like could the island have connected to this, rather than extending past it? or been L-shaped, so there's room for an extra stool, and also a wall cabinet? Anyway, hard to discuss that in the abstract without kitchen plans. I'm with miacometlady's original advice to not worry about it right now, and decide how to deal with it once the bulk of your kitchen is in place. You might find that you hardly notice it, with all the beautiful new finishes, or it might seem obvious to put some stainless or glass shelves there, or maybe simple is best and one simple hanging picture does the job. Don't stress about it until After. :)

Hi Hardik, Although posting pictures of your house would really help, here are a few ideas for a bachelor pad. Take a look - 1] Large TV with a console for set top box, PlayStation, soundbar, speakers etc. A projector screen is optional. Comfortable and spacious seating that is also minimalist and easy to maintain. 3] Lots of pictures and posters from your favorite movies dedicated to one wall to add a personal touch. This also reduces the need for using wallpaper or other expensive wall coverings. 4] A basic functional kitchen with a dining table and few chairs. Go for modular if budget permits. 5] A compact yet functional bar. You can either go eclectic by using bright colours and go for steel chairs or go classy and opt for a bar with back-lit onyx or alabaster top and cushioned bar stools. Put up neon sign boards as they look quirky and fun. 6] A comfortable and cozy low lying bed with end tables and a lounge chair would go in the bedroom. You may also add a study here and there coupled with a small library and gadget storage. 7] Opt for a colour palette to make everything cohesive and choose the one that goes with the style you are looking for. A colonial style would demand browns, blacks, reds and beige whereas a contemporary would require black, grey, white, blue, violet etc. Try not to make everything too dark. Cut the monotony with neutrals like pastel grey, off whites and beige. A bright coloured wall as a highlighter would add drama to the space. Complete it with funky signboards or posters. 8] Keep the upholstery simple. Opt for solids and highlight with geometric. Go for rich fabric american pleat curtains with a textured silk, satin or linen finish or you may go for roman blinds too. Adding florals is a no no when it comes to a bachelor pad so strictly avoid. You may go for rugs and wallpapers if you like. Exposed brick walls also are in trend and look very attractive. 9] If space permits add a Foosball or a snooker/billiards table. (Only if you play and are fond of it. Your space should reflect who you are) A lot depends on your age, the area your house offers and the budget you are looking at, according to which you can prioritize. Hope this inspires you. @HU-563441043. Thanks for your suggestion. Little late for the ceiling light now, I just got battery operated round leds installed in each box. It works with remote, can get dim and with timer. So very cool. I am surely going for metallic border now. I really liked that idea. All the stuff that is there will go out and I will put some showpieces. I am also thinking of, rather than getting color laminates at the back, covering the leds with solid colored see thru plastic sheet (mostly used for gift wrapping). That ways I can highlight few boxes with reds, greens blues. Tried red and it looked something
