I need help with my living room. I recently moved and I need to get some furnishing ideas. The living room is 17'x14' the long wall is a sliding glass door ( most of the wall is windows and I don't want to block the view). The only things I have to keep is the couch, coffee table and end tables. I need help with ideas on layout, lighting, and bookshelves.

First, I think rearranging your furniture and getting the furniture off the walls and float them in the living space would look nice. I'd nail down the arrangement before selecting new rugs. Where the chandelier is, try floating your sitting area (with the coffee table) below the chandelier and angle the current area rug. It's okay (and looks quite cozy and open) to have furniture floating and be able to wall around the furniture. You could have another seating area where the arrangement is now. Oh...yes, your mustard walls can work as is. Let's start with the layout first. :)

Hello, I painted the living room (5.30x5.30) using a beige and brown paint for the wall behind the sofa and beige for the others. My sofa is a white chester. I also have a dark brown armchair (if it's not good in the context, I can move it to another room). My dilemma is the TV unit wall that I will have to put for the opposite wall, what color should it be? White or another color? Help me to also choose a carpet, a table and what you consider beautiful or necessary to insert. I thank you in advance for your suggestions.

You have a spectacular view!

If you need light control, but would like to preserve the view, I would suggest solar shades. These will help to block UV rays and will soften the light coming into this room. Here are some photos for inspiration.

Thanks - Beverly I like the idea of adding the 2 chairs thank you for the layouts I'm going to keep the coffee table I have (my dad made it) but maybe some round end tables would work well.
