The floor is great! Area rugs to define each sitting area would be nice to cozy it up. But, I think it's the wall color that could change to coordinate better. A gray wall color...like this photo. Also, your space is wonderfully large so perhaps an accent wall in the red color of you chaise to define an area would work if you're so inclined...

the wall color is kind of the priority :( always wanted mustard walls , hope some rugs will make the coordination better .. any ideas on how to accessorise with colors .. what color rugs ?cream ? or mustard rugs ?

I like the floors and wall colour, I wonder if it needs a bit of depth like a feature wall like in the pic, colour is Farrow and Ball, down pipe, need big area rugs

ok great .. will add some rugs .. there are 3 potential sections ? 1. the area under the white couches , 2. below the orange sofa and 3. the dining area .. any more color suggestions for the rugs to coordinate with the wall and furniture color of each section .. also will add some plants to bring some warmth

Change wall color to a very pale neural gray. Since you already have the attractive red chair, find a geometric print area rug in red tones. Reupholster or purchase new comfortable chairs for your conversation grouping around the sofa - choose fabrics in patterns mixing red and different shades of gray along with neutral tone whites. You could also choose blue or green as a cool complementary color to work into the color mix. With such a large room, you might want to hire a designer to help you coordinate all facets of pulling your room together.
