actually i cant move the dining table close to the kitchen as tahst the main entrance to our house.if i put dining table in that area,the entry would look congested.the rooms adjoining it are gallery which leads to mastre bedroom and another bedroom.

You do need to bring the red into the room but knowing how you want the room to feel can help determine a color palette. If you want the room to have energy and "pop", try a split-complementary or triadic color scheme. If you want it to be more relaxed and harmonious, I would suggest an analogous color scheme.

I think your inclination toward rustic and distressed pieces is the right way to go. Consider a movable coffee table - I see 2 recliners that may necessitate some table shifting?- an area rug large enough to incorporate all the seating, rather than just a hearth rug, and enclosed storage for your electronics.
