If you love that wallpaper, use it in bathroom. Not really right for behind bed. I would go a drum style chandelier. In a silk pale gold. Your bed looks zen or Asian to me. I love it. But, you don't. Need to much with it. Keep it simple a more formal drape on windows, color would depend on wall color and bedding. I'm thinking a dramatic peacock satin. Use a lighter same tone on walls a rich teal. Ceiling can be gold leaf. With alight that cast shadows on ceiling at night. Then your wall paper will tie in. Furn should be mirrored.

Hello there, If you're thinking of glass, go for an ACP in mirror finish. It's easier to install. Put 2-3 shades of mirrored finish and create a geomteric pattern on the ceiling. Put some pendant lights and you're good to go. Second, to cover up the grill use a cladding (ACP/ Wood) for framing the window and put a good netural white toned sheer curtain for diffused lighting. I Understand. That's a common concern with my clients. But if you choose to have a 3-inch false ceiling, it will not kill the height. you need a minimum of 3 inches for the electrical conduits to pass. And as for the unhygienic environment, it is only created if you have a tray ceiling for cove light. If you install a plain ceiling after a thorough cleaning, there will be no hygiene problem. pendant lights looks nice only if place above a table like a breakfast nook or island. hanging them freely does not complement their look. since there is no island under the ceiling try to embed recessed lights in the ceiling. alternatively track lights will also look great if you need brightness.
