You have a great opportunity to go eclectic. So using very modern and colourful elements for the kitchen - modern storage cannisters, a vase, lights, toaster, even mixer, you start to introduce shocks of colour and shape that jar with the expectations in a traditional kitchen. the design looks great . According to me one side of windows can be used as bed wall . we can have blackout curtains or blackout window blinds . You can even play with drapery to define the area behind bed. We already have seating in the room so next we can do is give a console/ study table with an puffe / chair to it. also one can add a bench at the end of bed. Size you can check on your Autocad . Bed wall should be the focus when one enters the room, so I feel the bed should be placed like this . Dimensions of furniture and circulation space you can work on. Also WC should be on the washbasin side to avoid Future leakages and dampness in bedroom wall. all the best

What is the dimension of your bathroom? Looks like 4 feet wide, can't make out on length though. Glass partition or tiles partition for shower would help to keep your bathroom clean and dry and revamp look drastically. Wall hung WC is must, again from cleaning and look perspective. If window is not providing any light ( though your photo suggests some light coming from window) this area can also be used for multipurpose. You are welcome for more queries. Tiles selection can be decided based on a theme as well.

Many thanks for your valuable comments. 1. My intention of raised cabinets was to clean it daily, as cabinets that touch floor accumulate lot of dust and food particles below. If we rule out steel legs, any inputs on raised floor only of cabinet area and then cabinets?(Just like plinth in modular cabinets- but this will be permanent and of tiles) I have not seen such structure anywhere, so curious if it will work. Otherwise I will go with traditional ones. 2. Moving pooja out of kitchen is very difficult as other rooms are just enough for their function. Currently a small Mandir is attached on wall where Fridge is shown in layout. I thought the new area could be little extra for all pooja related things. Will like to know the reason of your recommendation, is it odd in whole design, or not suitable in area .. or anything else? How about moving it to corner of dining area?
