Well.... caught out. We are one of those naughty people who take a risk assessment of the area. On this occasion there are huge amounts of ventilation, the main house door, an open chiimney, four french doors and a bay window. It was an awkward spot to fit in a hood and so there is none... but there have not been any problems - on this project....
However, always, always assess the specific room you're going to be working in. This would not work as well in a small enclosed kitchen....
Difficult room layout. Is there a reason why you didn't put sink under window and range on wall with shelves? Wondering if wall with shelves is exterior wall that you could do vented hood.
