A soft, warm grey shade would look lovely, and can be as dark or light as you want. A warmer shade will work with the brown stained wood floor, and the grey will complement the black granite. You could have an undertone of green, blue or tan if you didn't want a pure grey. And it would look nice with any silver metal hardware, either polished or satin/brushed, so you could choose pewter, chrome or nickel. It would still work with white trim too.

Hi Cynthia, thanks for your comment. I still haven't decided about lighting. First, I'm trying to get as much natural light as possible. If there are still some dark corners left, then I'm planing to use light on those areas.

Hi, our master bedroom has dark early 20th century furniture. I'd like to put in some wall units for a study area. I intend to go for a grayish green color scheme for the walls and a light off white for the vitrified tile flooring (to be put in). The two doors are a grayish beige laminate. The windows are white, I can repaint them a different colour though. What color should I choose for the wall storage units? We are in the tropics and the bedroom has windows on the south and west. Thanks.
