What would you do to dress this big blank wall?

I have eclectic tastes. Leaning toward turn of the century steampunk and art nouveau. Just curious what others would do with this wall aside from photo arrangements. The wall color is BM Guillford Green.

Comments (19)you are thinking about the space right now. it looks odd, no doubt. 1) when you fill in with the furniture, just make sure the three steps are hidden. 2) consider three potted plants of different height, so the rectangle is complete. 3) glass bowl with Siamese fighting fish for each step 4) figurines of different heights 5) 2inch square wooden bar on each step up to the top of the rectangle. and complete the entire rectangle if you want with a smaller rectangle open in the center my suggestion is, there is a reason why this space ended up like this. it will look great once you put something there. things like these are what make your house unique....See MoreWhat to do with fireplace
Comments (6)A Rumford design is very shallow, has outward-flaring sides, a back that arches forward, a curve on the underside of the front lintel leading back to a broad slot-like flue with a flue chamber above it. The overall front opening is almost square, sometimes slightly taller than wide. Rumford fireplaces are very distinctive looking. 9 years agoHere's another tree using twisted paper. Not loving how they did this one but if you used thinner branches and painted it I could see it working. I keep looking at that first one and it looks like a wall relief to me. Real branches wouldn't be so flat on the wall.

9 years agoWhat about a wood wall? It may be too dark but if you stain the pieces different colors it may look great. Pinterest has ideas for DIY steampunk gear clocks, gear mirrors, pendent lights with pipes etc.
