Hi, I have a delimma on window height. There are definitive positive aspect on longer windows. however, there are few concerns too. Any guidance/ advice will help conclude. In bedrooms windows height was thought to be till bottom of ceiling beam and bottom of window is 2feet from floor, making it of around 8feet height and varying width from 3ft onwards. The overall impression of a tall window, asthetics are the plus points. However, operating the window and curtain, changing curtain etc are of concerns. and it costs more. Where should one conclude?

My drawing room front Window is going to be of around four feet wide. As the width of this room front wall is 10 feet out of which 3'6" will be kept for front entrance door. I am confused whether the sill height of the window should be 6 inches or 3 feet high as sofa is coming in front of it as my drawing room size is 10'0" * 14'0".

It is a very easy fix. You may get a slope made in sheets/metal/ red sand tiles etc over the windows and the French window. You would need a base steel grid in case of a climber. Plants that require least watering would be bougainvillea, blue morning glory, star jasmine, bleeding heart. If you are not keen on a live wall perhaps you can install artificial grass/turf on the wall and complete with some wall masks.
