“We had a excellent relationship working with Doug and his crew. Fernhill had built a large retaining wall for our yard last year. We were more than pleased with the quality and detail in the work. We then decided to hire Fernhill for a complete redo of both our front and back yards. The project included a small retaining wall in the front, a large flagstone patio and fire pit in the back yard, planting and lighting. Doug's attention to our project and his crew's professionalism were constant from start to finish. They were timely and finished the job within the given time frame. They left each day only after cleaning up and leaving the areas they were working on neat, clean and tidy. We gave Doug the freedom to create a design that would make our yards look great and couldn’t be more pleased with his excellent and unique design. We appreciated his eye for detail and the personal touches throughout the project. We would highly recommend hiring this company.”

“Where to begin? That was our dilemma. We had been in our home for 30 years and had a long list of items that needed to be addressed. Most of our mature trees had recently been taken out, but we still had a tremendous amount of existing plants in our backyard. We had a vision, but didn't know how to bring it to life. Have you ever visited your friendly garden center in an attempt to gain advice? You bring home the "perfect plants" and put them in the ground, only to find yourself digging them out several years later? That was our experience, over and over again. We realized that we needed someone to listen to our vision and help us put the pieces in place. We were introduced to Bill Tamburro. He listened, really listened to what my husband and I wanted to accomplish. Planting a privacy screen with evergreens across the back of our property was our first priority. Low maintenance and less money spent on mulch was our second and third priority. Because we love to "collect" roses, peonies, hydrangeas, etc., a beautiful flow and design, that would accommodate all of our favorites was also important to us. Bill delivered on every element. He drew up a workable plan for our sloped backyard which eased the chore of mowing a steep bank. Bill also helped us choose the correct trees, evergreens, perennials and groundcovers to fit the space and keep maintenance to a minimum. Most importantly, Bill designed a framework with boundaries which gives our gardens a cohesive look for timeless beauty. The professional, expert advice we received was well worth the time and investment we made. We would like to work with Bill again next year when we redo the landscaping in our front yard.”

Pontz Sons design and build a patio with a summer kitchen, a second patio with a fireplace and sitting area, and a beautiful water feature that appears to be a totally natural stream flowing out of our hillside. “We had a great experience with Indian run landscaping. This company is the perfect combination of old school face to face sales mixed with the convenience of modern day technology. I was able to schedule my initial consultation with their landscaping designer right on their website and was also able to pay my final bill online. Being a mother of 3 (and one child being a newborn) this was huge for me. Jason came up with a beautiful design for our home, always went over things in person with me, and was conveniently reachable quickly by email as well. Their install team worked hard on my property for a full day in the rain to make sure they got the job done quickly. We have gotten endless compliments on our property over the past few weeks and are thrilled with the results of their hard work. “What a wonderful experience to have this company redo my back yard. From the design to the implementation, Earth, Turf & Wood was professional all the way. The existing flagstone patio was redesigned and redone. It had been installed incorrectly and after just 3 years was dangerous because of stones becoming unstable. It also was incorrectly laid and flooded every time it rained. Now it is a charming and safe place to relax. The landscaping is just awesome. My fence was pushed back and plants and trees were chosen of varying heights, flowering times, and colors. The finished yard looks exactly as the 'blueprint' does. The people who worked on my yard were all passionate about what they do, respectful of the house, mindful that their worksite was actually someone's home. They never left for the day without securing the yard so my dogs were safe, cleaning off any dust or dirt from surfaces, and putting their tools and equipment off to the sides. They worked constantly from early morning to late afternoon, stopping only for a brief lunch. No frequent smoke breaks, loud music, phone breaks, etc. Quite different from other people who have worked in my yard. Very nice guys, too, and inspirational as far as work ethics.”
