“We wanted a change to our rather pedestrian front lawn. We were recommended to Urban Oasis by a satisfied friend. Essentially, we wanted a grassless front lawn with herbs - drought resistant plants - rocks and gravel artistically placed with some color highlights and an overall feeling of serenity. We reviewed some lawns that we liked and Urban Oasis came up with a unique design that met our needs but was cost effective. Debbie G. submitted drawings and estimates. Her crews were superb. She worked right along with the gardeners and supervised the tree trimmers, etc., Project came in under estimate..”

“Roy Altaras Landscape Design and Construction designed, planted and has maintained my garden for 12 years. They are knowledgeable professional gardeners with a refined esthetic sense. They know how to select plants that are right for the climate and season and which will create a low-maintenance, lovely Mediterranean feeling garden. “Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

“Beth provided a wonderful landscape design and creation program for our home. Taking our tastes, budget and timing into account, she came up with designs that were creative and realistic. She oversaw the job from beginning to end and was always available to answer questions or to help make last minute changes without a problem. Everything that was supposed to be done was completed as imagined and on schedule. Beth was not only exceptionally professional and ethical, but very enjoyable to work with. We were very, very pleased with the process and the results. I would recommend her services to anyone.”
