“We had recently added a sunroom and needed some landscaping done in our backyard around the new room. We also decided to put in a patio adjacent to the sunroom. We have a slanted backyard, so we really needed advice on how to accomplish this. In addition, we needed a landscaper to work with us as the contractor finished our deck so everything would flow together. We had an idea of what we wanted, but were really looking for advice and recommendations. We talked to three different landscapers and decided to go with Western DuPage Landscaping. The designer, Nicole, had some great suggestions for our project and worked within the budget we gave her. She patiently explained the difference in pricing between the various pavers available and also recommended plants and shrubs that would grow in our very shaded backyard. Our project came in on budget and in the time frame given. We are very happy with the work done and would not hesitate to return to WDL for future work.”

“Crimson Valley Landscaping did a extensive landscaping job on our backyard last summer. They worked on the pool entry area and the area that curves around our home. They also laid down river rocks in our planters and put down stepping stones across the yard. The entire crew was very professional, accommodating and efficient. Although, Joel and Dawn really stood out to me. Joel was able to transplant beautiful roses and added flowers to the area around our mailbox that pleasantly surprised us. Dawn worked with us on the design and functionality of our space. She was extremely accommodating and gave wonderful suggestions. In fact, there were times that I would send her pictures of designs and flowers I didn't even know the name of and she figured out how we can incorporate them into the design! She had no problem changing our orders after they had been placed and still managed to get the work done on time. She noticed that our roses were wilting a bit, and went out and pruned them for us! She even gave me instructions on how to maintain them over the winter! This included: - Removal of an existing cedar deck and 6 trees - Installation of a large and beautiful blue stone patio, walkway, steps and landing - Installation of multiple flagstone walks and a sitting area - Installation of numerous shrubs, and perennials - Repair of the house siding where the deck was removed We now have a beautiful park in my backyard! Matt Nelson my designer oversaw the project, ensuring the design was implemented as we agreed. Sam, the owner of OGL, was very accommodating. Everything installed was at least the size specified, or in numerous cases larger than the statement of work specified. Sam even located and obtained 6 foot solid stone steps for me instead of using the standard 4 foot plus a 2 foot step. This makes a huge difference in the appearance. Start to finish, installation was right at 3 weeks. Plus the timing of the installation was absolutely perfect with our personal schedule. We are now enjoying our beautiful backyard park!”
