We quoted the project with 3 local contractors, and although the 3 quotes were not apples-to-apples, Evergreen offered the best price and more importantly, the best options that most closely matched the size and scope of our quote request. Becca had unique ideas for our cookie-cutter space. The project started and completed on time, and despite the heavy equipment and materials used for the projected, the disruption from the actual construction was minimal. The crew was professional and courteous.”

More importantly, the quality of work and materials used, the ease of making choices to add or delete certain features created a highly collaborative team to ensure that the project went smoothly and as expected and our final product was as we envisioned. “I highly recommend this company! Poul's has done all of our landscaping design and installation since our house was built. We have used their services several times during our phased-in landscaping approach. Their very talented landscape architects' designs are beautiful and they take the time to meet with you to determine the best plan for your specific area, tastes, lifestyle and budget. I really like the fact that they have their own nursery and you can walk their property with a professional to pick out just the right tree or shrub if you want. The trees they planted for us several years ago were amazing and continue to thrive providing us with beautiful shade in just the right spot. Most recently, we've cleared out a brush line and Poul's designed and installed new flowering bushes and perennials which have completely changed the look of our back yard.”

“The Hursthouse team patiently spent many hours developing a detailed and extensive renovation plan for our entire property. Major features of the plan included: --installing a brick paver driveway bordered by a snapcut limestone retaining wall --installing bluestone front entry walk and porch --rebuilding backyard bluestone patio and new courtyard area with water fountain and cast iron fence border --extensive landscape lighting both front and back --installing imported planter urns on pedestals --extensive tree & shrub planting, perennials & ground cover. The design added great value and enhanced our enjoyment of our property in ways we never anticipated. “We had recently added a sunroom and needed some landscaping done in our backyard around the new room. We also decided to put in a patio adjacent to the sunroom. We have a slanted backyard, so we really needed advice on how to accomplish this. In addition, we needed a landscaper to work with us as the contractor finished our deck so everything would flow together. We had an idea of what we wanted, but were really looking for advice and recommendations. We talked to three different landscapers and decided to go with Western DuPage Landscaping. The designer, Nicole, had some great suggestions for our project and worked within the budget we gave her. She patiently explained the difference in pricing between the various pavers available and also recommended plants and shrubs that would grow in our very shaded backyard. Our project came in on budget and in the time frame given. We are very happy with the work done and would not hesitate to return to WDL for future work.”
