“The project: Renovation of my home; typical ranch structure built in 1952. The house had never been updated when purchased other than installing cable. I am the second owner, a rare find where I live. The house was built with the finest construction technics of the day including use of dimensional lumber instead of plywood for exterior sheathing and underlayment for floors. The renovation work had to match the integrity of the original workmanship. Major work consisted of: gutting and reinstalling kitchen and two bath rooms addition of a front porch updating the plumbing and electrical throughout to meet local building codes painting throughout Home Remedies was: Professional in their workmanship and diligent about matching original construction quality. Familiar with the "unknowns" in a house of this age. Had the technical skills and equipment needed to do the job right. Aware of their own limitations and brought in other skilled professionals when needed. And recalled these professionals to make it right if the work did not meet my or their expectations. Contentious of the fact I was LIVING in the house during renovation. Willing to work with me as an owner/designer making the most of the opportunities found during renovation. Had a sense of humor and enjoyed their work. What could have gone better for both sides: Detailed planning session early on - things flow smoother. Regular budget reports - management and decision making simpler Prioritizing of workflow - we all know what is needed when; no last minute scrambling and purchasing above budgeted figures. Summary: I love my home, love the renovations, and will call on Home Remedies when I am ready to complete some items that were cut from the budget for this project. Photos: Bath 1 was, I believe, one of the most amazing transformations.”

Moving from another state he made sure we were informed; built our trust and eased our anxiety during this process. Our new home addition is exactly what we expected. Using 3D rendering technology they showed us what we could expect once the project was completed. This was very helpful in minimizing any issues once construction began. They tailored their level of communication to our needs and were informative and courteous through the process, finishing the project ahead of schedule.”

“Mike Collins built my 1800 sq. ft 3 car garage w/ 2 separate work shops and toilet - 4 windows. The separate structure matches my nearby house perfectly. It is very nicely finished inside and out. Mike has also built some of our finish work inside of our house. He constructed 2 custom bookshelves on either side of our fire place and built a custom desk for my study. Up at our pool Mike designed and built 2 pergolas. A large one for sitting and relaxing and a smaller one for our bocce ball court. They are constructed out of rough sawed cedar and stained. Very nice looking and have proven sturdy in high winds.”

“We used this company for a custom built home. The situation was unique in that our home had burned, was torn down to the slab, the builder had to not only pour additional concrete, but work around existing pipes. It was a tough job! With all of this our new home was built above and beyond our expectations. Vernon's attention to detail was excellent. He was on the job site daily. His quality is superb. We would highly recommend Hearst Construction.”

“I contracted home repair and upgrades with Stephen Taylor, owner of Monster Home Improvement over a 5-1/2 year period and was quite pleased with his company's work, dedication to excellence, and completing customer's goals to their satisfaction. Their projects included interior and exterior remodeling and upgrades including, but not limited to window and shutter replacement, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom remodeling, hardwood and tile flooring, soffit and facia replacement, deck upgrades and preservation and appliance installation; all of which were completed professionally and in a timely manner.
