“We had a whole house interior remodel. We had a beautiful 1884 house in a great location but it had been converted to apartments and had a lot of original wiring and plumbing. We wanted to convert it back to a great lake house. The architect helped us design a great new floor plan that maximized the home's assets and included some unique special features that we wanted. They reinforced floors, walls and windows and replaced wiring, plumbing and woodwork. They essentially built a new interior that was stunning and yet maintained the style of the house. They also renovated an enclosed porch and an exterior porch that allowed us to make the most of the lake view. Bartelt started on time and stayed very close to the promised timeline. Weekly construction meetings were very helpful for keeping communication flowing and answering questions. The project manager and office manager were very responsive and helpful. The rough carpenters were fantastic - doing a great job and cleaning up every night. We had some additional costs because we decided to improve certain items as we uncovered hidden problems. Bartelt always did a good job of explaining our options. Their finish carpenter was a magician with the way that he installed the millwork and customized so many areas. The designer helped with suggestions for finishing touches that met our style preferences but also worked well with the style of the house. The overall experience was so much less stressful than we expected and actually very enjoyable. The entire staff was very professional and fun to work with. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.”

“We purchased 2 replacement windows and 2 replacement patio doors from Callen Construction. They were completely professional, beginning with the sales person who visited our home, through the gentlemen who actually installed the products we purchased. We've been very pleased with the quality of the windows and doors we purchased from Callen, and as soon as we can afford to do so, we will contract with Callen once again to replace the remaining windows in our home.”
