“If you demand superior quality craftsmanship and care to detail for your home project, then Mike Harvey is your contractor of choice. The total custom “makeover” of our home on Carters Creek was complex and very extensive. Opening-up a 1970’s design home involved removal of walls, relocation/installation of a country kitchen and vaulted creek room among many other improvements. Mr. Harvey was extremely responsive to the numerous challenges of renovations and changes throughout our project. His ability to supervise sub-contractors was very important to keep our project on schedule. We are happy to share our wonderful experience, as are the other eight neighbors in our community where Mr. Harvey has also completed home projects.”

“Reshaped subfloor and installed 1/2" wood flooring in about 60% of the house. Very close attention to detail. Wired and installed microwave/oven fan (with exhaust) above electric stove. Painted interior ceiling and exterior trim. Reconfigured handrails for entire front porch. Repaired one 8" by 8" support beam front porch. Mr. White is a consummate professional building contractor. Knowledgeable, skillful, honest, trustworthy, timely and well respected.”

“Ryan Gordon is a real professional here in the Northern Neck. He is conscientious, meticulous, organized, reliable. He treats his employees respectfully and fair and they are all very qualified, experienced and friendly. I handed him a comlpicated drawing of our carriage-house garage that had boundary limitations of only inches and he made it all happen in a timely manner. We are thoroughly happy with his work.”

“Jesse and his the crew of Riverview contracting kept to thier word on the work to be completed. Thier craftsman ship was exceptional and the attention to detail was impeccable. Very easy company to work with, contacted me right away with any problems and didn't conducted any work outside the scope of the contract without getting approval. The work completed was finishing the second floor of a vacation home. The work involved framing, plumbing, drywall, trim And mini split AC and heat. Any future projects that I have I will be choosing them and would recommend to friends and family.”

“McPherson Painting remodeled my 30-year-old home (3-bedroom, kitchen, 3 bathrooms, mini-bar). The job included demolition, drywall & painting, installation of all doors, cabinets, plumbing fixtures; kitchen & bathroom tiling; installation of cork and stone tile floors; cleaning and sealing slate floors; and taking delivery/keeping track of all owner-purchased fixtures. Besides doing an excellent job on all of those tasks, Skip McPherson is a pleasure to work with. He worked effectively with my interior designer and is not only accomplished as a carpenter, he is also a creative and willing problem-solver. For portions of the job he did not do himself, he either referred a craftsman or worked seamlessly with one that I called in. To top it off, his work was finished on schedule and within budget, his crew is able and polite, and he was happy to install window treatments, shelves, picture hangers, mirrors, etc., etc.”

“Mark Allen bid a job to do our deck and was very punctual clear and pleasant. Sent the bid back in a timely matter. After measuring out the porch I realized we had not wanted a doggy door but mark had put it in the plans. He didn't hesitate to come back out and remeasure to make sure the job was done to our liking and wasn't going to take any short cuts. Attention to details is always important as well as good communication. I have been able to depend on mark for both.”

“I hired Rico's Remodeling in September 2017 on the recommendation of a friend. That was the best advice I ever took. My project was the complete remodel of two bathrooms and a kitchen in my newly purchased condo. “I have been a repeat customer of Birstler Home Improvements formerly of New York. The principal Stephen has remodeled kitchens and bathrooms in both my residence and my investment property. He has also installed windows and roofs on both properties. His estimates are competitive with all licensed and insured contractors. His contracts are very detailed. He is on the premises during the entire project. He is very knowledgeable on building codes, architecture, new materials/techniques and skilled trades. He has great ideas on design. He recommends quality materials. He is detail oriented as far as the finish work. He expect high quality work from his employees and supervises them closely. No job is too small. I contracted him to power wash, prepare my rental property between tenants, a clean up project after a backup in my parent's basement, repairs to my screen house, installing fixtures, and a mason project on my sidewalks and driveway. I have referred him to many friends and family. They were extremely satisfied. Most important, I have peace of mind. I don't have to worry about anything incomplete or trying to track him down as I experienced with other contractors in the past.”

“David Norris is a true professional. We are in the process of tearing down an older home, and building new and David is our builder. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows his products. There are so many decisions in building a new home, and he is able to help steer us in the right direction of what would be the right product for our home. He is willing to think "out of the box" and was willing for us to choose milled lumber from a local Amish lumberyard, and keep the beautiful old doors from the house.”
