The Great Room or Family Room pictured is 30' x 64' with vaulted ceiling to 32', and has western red cedar lap and gap rough sawn walls, with ceiling of western red cedar smooth sawn v groove. All beams and columns in the Great Room are finished with Texas red aromatic cedar. The fireplace mantle is a piece of Texas Pecan 30" wide, 9" thick and 9' long, and “floats” into the room. The Family Room window coverings are plantation style 3” pecan wood shutters. The fireplace returns heated air into the home via the vents as shown on the fireplace front. The house if well insulated, and the owner said he could heat the home in winter without HVAC system support.
