Open to the View

This apartment kitchen has commanding views across the Ottawa River parkway and Ottawa River. Relocating the walls increased the size of the kitchen and permitted the use of separate built-in appliances. Using a wall of shallow instead of deep cabinets with a small counter and glass uppers keeps the room bigger while providing good storage. A pony wall comes above the counter and is capped with quartz matching the counter. A built-in bistro table is intimate to the kitchen and clearly otherwise unusable space reserved for passage.
