To enlarge the kitchen the study was made smaller and the entrance removed. Removing a load bearing wall required and a new structural beam added so the new refrigerator wall was framed to accommodate it. The walnut on the island cabinetry was also incorporated into the backs of the glass door cabinets as an accent. The large mantle hood and vent with custom corbels, sits above the Wolf 60” pro-style range and glass cabinets with X style mullions as accents added more traditional touches to the kitchen design to match the style of the home.
