Designed by Behzad Kharas, principal architect of The BNK Group, the luxurious apartment is an “eclectic fusion of modern and classical design” in concordance with the clients’ request. Unobstructed ocean views balance the luxury elements that suffuse this home, keeping the aesthetics plush yet understated.

White and blue channel the nautical theme in the artefacts and furnishings.
A sculptural chandelier by Serip adds glamour to this corner spot.
The curated chandelier and artwork on the mirrored walls bring visual depth. Next to the dining table is a crockery-storage unit equipped with hot plates, a bottle cooler and an ice cream bin.

Translucent sliding doors demarcate the kitchen and dining area while maintaining a visual connection. A prep kitchen abuts this area (not visible in the image).

The all-white colour scheme of the kitchen gets relief from the patterned wallpaper and metallic shelves above the kitchen island.
“A long, linear corridor leading towards the bedrooms is camouflaged with mirrors to create a sense of expanse,” says Kharas. A blue leatherite-covered door at the end of the corridor opens to the master bedroom.

A restrained colour palette of peach and aqua green characterises the master bedroom. Moulded 3D patterns decorate the ceiling.
The furniture throughout the house, including the bedrooms, was imported from China.
A large walk-in wardrobe perpetuates the design narrative of the bedroom. Symbolising the colours of the ocean, a blue closet island provides storage.
The daughter’s bedroom has a pared-back colour scheme with warm beige smoked-teak veneer. An artistic tree mural frames the bed and is the focal point of this room.
Little details like ruffles in the curtains and a velvety upholstered chair add to the ambience.
The walk-in wardrobe in the daughter’s bedroom is awash in soft tones of beige and brown.
Elements like this modern wicker chair and flower sculpture energise this deck area.
