Light Fixtures
This is a shot from one of Ali’s Facebook posts. I like the grace of the sconces (but black “candles?”) I like dressed wrought iron chandeliers in this context—you can see the bottom of one in the foreground. The two wheel chandeliers don’t appeal at all, alas, because I know they’re common in this kind of house. But they always evoke a Zoro entrance. ?
First, *thank you* for the Gibson referral! It’s an enticing website, and they’re on my list to call. Although I’ve just uploaded some chandeliers in response to earlier conversation, I’ve also been thinking about the fact that the beams aren’t centered on the fireplace. One solution would be to use two smaller lights placed in relation to the beams or the fireplace, as we decide best. It has the advantage of visually dividing the room and putting light over a specific seating area. And it opens up the possibility of smaller kinds of fixtures such as this one. Just a thought. M. Let's se if this works. Does Houzz send you an email that I commented?
