Worli Residence
1100 sf 1 BHK apartment designed for a middle aged couple at Worli, Mumbai
The original layout was two one bedroom apartments that were combined to form one large apartment. This resulted in a lot of irregular sized and located beams and columns throughout the house, which were concealed in our false ceiling and lighting layout. For example, you can see this in the kitchen and dining area images where we added a cove light to camouflage the beams.
This project involved immense civil work due to the previous condition of the house which had a lot of leakages, plaster peeling. We broke down the entire apartment to the bare shell and started rebuilding the walls, plastering etc from there.
