Comments (7)what kind of furniture & how should I arrange it.. I thought of keeping Jhula on the terrace. I am also concerned about it getting dirty & may not help me getting their every evening.. can you suggest something how I can cover it & still it looks good & I can open it without restricting the view. Comments (3)Hi. I'm not so great on these technicalities :-). I think the one in the picture uses wood, and placed vertically like that I think the slats would have much more strength than if they were flat. But I don't think even really hard woods would stand up to coconut pounding for long. Perhaps if you could find someone in your area that makes security gates like the one below, you would be able to source the slats they use through them (again, no doubt these slats are made from a variety of materials, you would have to find a tough kind)....See MoreWood used in ceiling
