USe a combination of richer colors, darker woods, and lighter fabrics and upholstery. That will make them both happy! And you may want to ask a designer for advice in selecting items for the room. I'm sure an hour or two consultation would be worth your time and investment to make it perfect!

I believe a light grey would look nice behind the blue in the map - it needs to be a perfect shade of grey as grey is hard to achieve. Possibly experiment with various colours - I usually paint on board using sample pots first then hold them up in large sheets to see what suits the area... This gives you an indication of where throws of light will capture the actual colour and which shades suite the room without having to paint on the walls. The board base colour generally needs to be as close to your existing wall colour to achieve the closest match.

Hi. I wouldn't use wallpaper in this room, I think -- I'd just use the dark blue from the bedhead to paint that wall only for some real naval drama. For the rest, crisp white or the grey from the drawer of the cabinet under the TV.

i want to choose wallpaper for my son's room who is 11 years old. furniture in the room is white with bright yellow highlighting and wooden flooring. Wall is in south-west direction about 12 feet by 10 feet and the bed is to come on the front of the wall. Please advice should i go for urban landscape or green forest or geometric pattern or rustic wood background. Please suggest. Amulya
