Most other kinds of wood will, so long as it is dry, clean and has a slightly rough surface for the paint to adhere to. Hello Janani, Granite is cheaper than Quartz. It is easily available. It can stand very high temperatures. Depending upon the color and coating it may be stain resistant. Once in a while it requires a repolish. Quartz comes in a lot of color variations, it is much harder than Granite and it is non porous so stain resistance wise it is better than granite. You should not keep 'very' hot vessels directly on quartz. It is made from recycled quartz so is more nature friendly than granite which needs to be quarried. Actually this type of granite when we are using flooring light different will come and you are using ordinary cement instead of white cement so that different is more so leave as it is you can do one thing if laying person is expert ask him to do buffing it will gives shinning only not polish

One Follow-up question.. Is there any strength issue with 20mm Granite slab over 40mm Granite.. Are the 20mm granite slab prone to chipping or crack on normal usage.. Usage would be like, chopping vegetables, keeping hot vessels,.. The normal usage what happens in normal indian kitchen.. I just want to be sure that I decide based on experts judgement (like you), as people are just throwing their opinion based on their guess...
